Nick Kyrgios blasted Tennis Australia due to not being able to book a practice court in Melbourne citing a lack of prioritising by the governing body.
The governing body of tennis in Australia got blasted by Nick Kyrgios who was in Melbourne with Kokkinakis trying to practice ahead of his return at the ATP Tokyo event next week. The Australian was outraged that he could not book a practice court due to all of them being booked already.
Kyrgios went to Instagram to vent writing:
"Here for a day of training in Melbourne and unable to get a court!!? Nothing has changed. When are you going to start prioritising players?"
Kokkinakis looked at the situation with a bit more humour posting on social media as well with an intent to lighten the mood:
"Breaking news: Tennis stars Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis were left stranded without a paddle as the biggest tennis academy in the world was unable to accommodate the superstars. They gave priority treatment to the grassrooters out there, some of them so uncoordinated that they were unable to make contact with the ball after 3 hours on court."
