Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios shared a funny relationship that combines elements of friendship, rivalry, teasing and many other things.
The duo has spoken fondly about each other in the past but they have also criticised one another as well as joked about each other publicly. In a recent interview, Tsitsipsa praised Kyrgios by calling him the GOAT of tweeners. The Australian, who has an affinity for trick shots has attempted many during his career and hit quite a few of those.
Tsitsipas said:
"Nick Kyrgios [is the GOAT of the tweener]. I have had a few successful ones in practice, where I hit a winner out of a tweener. But unfortunately, i haven't been able to produce that in a match yet. "But one day, I am pretty sure I will."
Perhaps Tsitsipas will take lessons from Kyrgios on how to do it in a match but besides Kyrgios he also praised a few others. He called De Minaur the GOAT of speed:
"Alex de Minaur [is the GOAT of speed]. 90% of planet Earth is covered by water, the rest 10% is covered by Alex de Minaur."
He also snuck in a bit of Medvedev saying:
"Daniil Medvedev [is the GOAT of arguing with the umpire]."
