Following Casper Ruud's shocking second round loss at the 2023 US Open, Nick Kyrgios took to social media to take shots at the former World No.2 for his early exit.
Ruud has been going through a slump lately, and his poor run continued as he fell in a five-set marathon to China's Zhizhen Zhang in the second round.

Kyrgios amused by Ruud's early exit

After Ruud's loss, Craig Gabriel, a Nine Radio journalist, posted the results on social media. Kyrgios was quick to respond, posting a laughing emoji.
"Another upset at the Open. Casper Ruud is out, he's been beaten by Triple Z, Zhizhen Zhang 6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 0-6, 6-2. He will play Rinky Hijikata," wrote Gabriel.
"[Laughing emoji]," replied Kyrgios.
The Aussie tennis star has been at loggerheads with Ruud ever since the two played each other at the 2019 Italian Open. Kyrgios was disqualified from that match for throwing a chair into the stands, with Ruud subsequently calling the 28-year old "an idiot" for his actions.
