Nick Kyrgios retired in his first round match at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco last week against Ugo Humbert in his title defence.

Kyrgios who claimed one of his crowing moments last year by claiming the honours in Mexico wasn't best pleased about the reaction that he received when he retired.
“I’m not healthy. I tried to come here, I tried to play. I’ve been doing media here and helping out. I tried to play, I tried to give the fans a little bit of tennis. And then they’re disrespectful,” he said.
“My wrist is just not ready to play. I could feel it on every backhand. It’s unfortunate after the memories I had last year. It’s tough for me,” he added.
“No wonder this country doesn’t have any good players,” he put on his Instagram story after the match.
