Nick Kyrgios played two matches in a day shifting his focus after Reilly Opelka to a tie against fellow entertainer, Frances Tiafoe and is into the semi-finals of Citi Open Washington after a late night show of epic proportions.
Kyrgios saved five match points in an incredible second set tie break which seemingly took the gas out of the tank of Tiafoe as the Aussie eased through the final set sealing the tie 6-7, 7-6, 6-2.
Neither player budged in that tie-break until the very end with Kyrgios winning the last three points to send it into a decider in an overall match which featured the best of both of their arsenals.
Such as tweeners, drop shots and unbelievable winners but it was Kyrgios who finished with the win, 60 winners, 35 aces and as Tiafoe's serve faltered, he gained advantage after priorly defeating Opelka 7-6, 6-2 earlier in the day.
Next up is Mikael Ymer who survived a comeback from Sebastian Korda on Friday night to move through.
