Three more players have been added to the Laver Cup 2026 lineup. While there is still a number of months before Team Europe and Team World take on each other at the O2 in London, the big names are already showing their intent. Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik will join up with Team Europe while Alexander Bublik will debut for Team World.
The event will take place from September 25-27 with some of the best tennis players in the world teaming up and working together in the exhibition event that pitches Europe and the rest of the world against each other.
Already some top players have committed to this year's edition. The world number two Carlos Alcaraz will reappear for a third consecutive year. He has lavishly praised the tournament in the past and will hope to clinch the title back for Team Europe. Alexander Zverev will make a seventh appearance. He won the first five editions he participated in before that streak was snapped last year in San Francisco.
For the first time, three top 10 players will be leading Team World to what they hope is a second consecutive title. Ben Shelton did not drop a set last year and will be a pivotal part of their team. Fellow American Taylor Fritz defeated Alcaraz on home soil in 2025 and comes back for more of the same. De Minaur will compete for a third time and is yet to lose a singles match in the tournament. Great reading for a very strong Team World lineup.

Cobolli, Mensik and Bublik enter the fray

Three more players have confirmed their participation. Roland Garros finalist Cobolli debuted last year after being an alternate in 2024. He has enjoyed brilliant form as of late, and will hope that transfers into this tournament.
“The Laver Cup is one of the most exciting events in our sport,” Cobolli said. “It was incredible to be part of it last year, and it was my goal to play again this year. To be named to the team and compete for Team Europe is a huge honour. I cannot wait.”
Mensik also debuted last year, becoming the youngest player in Laver Cup history. That lasted four hours before Joao Fonseca stepped onto court. Following a semi-final in Paris, the 20-year-old continues to show huge promising signs of a future talent who could challenge for the biggest titles the sport has to offer.
“The Laver Cup has always been special to me,” Mensik stated. “I was there with my family at the very first Laver Cup in Prague in 2017 as a young fan, so to now be part of Team Europe for a second time is hard to believe. Playing alongside some of the best players in the world is an incredible feeling and something I never take for granted. We were disappointed with the result last year, but we’ll do everything we can to bring the Laver Cup back to Team Europe in London.”

Team captain Yannik Noah was pleased to reinstate Cobolli and Mensik as part of the six-man lineup. “Flavio and Jakub are having fantastic seasons and have earned their places on the team,” Noah commented. “They were both part of Team Europe last year and understand what makes the Laver Cup so special. It’s great to have them back alongside Carlos and Sascha, giving us a strong core of returning players who know each other and understand what it takes to compete as a team. I’m really looking forward to bringing everyone together again in London.”
Bublik joins the plethora of talented players in Team World as he looks set to put on a show for the crowd. He has debuted in the top 10 in the world this year after a stark rise. He has put his mind to the sport and reaped the rewards. Only Alcaraz and Sinner won more ATP titles than he did last year as the Kazakhstan gets the honour of debuting at the Laver Cup.
“It’s amazing. I’ve always admired and adored the Laver Cup and watched it every year,” Bublik said. “It has created so many great memories in our sport and it’s an honour to be selected. I’m proud to represent Team World and I’m looking forward to playing in the Laver Cup in London for the first time.”

Team captain, Andre Agassi, was delighted to have Bublik on board. “Alexander is one of the most gifted and unpredictable players in tennis,” Agassi said. “He’s capable of producing shots that very few players would even attempt and can change the momentum of a match in an instant. He’s enjoyed success across all surfaces, which speaks to the quality and versatility of his game. I think he’ll be a great addition to Team World and I’m excited to have him with us in London.”
