Two quarterfinal matches at the WTA Madrid Open headline the events in the Spanish capital. First up is two-time WTA 1000 champion Mirra Andreeva who is one of only two top 10 players to make it this far. She will look to continue her fine form against former US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez. In the evening, world number one and reigning champion Aryna Sabalenka is the overwhelming favourite to defend her title.
