Spain’s legendary tennis player
Rafael Nadal has hinted at giving a big surprise while responding on social
media.
The 37-year-old is currently spending
a lengthy time on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from a lengthy
injury layoff.
Nadal, while responding to Kia’s
official account, hinted at a possible return to the court by stating: "Yeap…
looking forward to it… Madrid?"
The former world number one has
not played a professional tennis match for nearly 10 months because of a knee
injury. It is because of this reason he ended up missing three out of the four
Grand Slams.
He only participated in the
Australian Open in 2023 where he was knocked out after losing the round of 64
clash to America’s Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets with a score of 6-4,
6-4, 7-5.
Nadal is often regarded as one of the
greatest players in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era,
winning 22 Grand Slams.
His most successful competition is
the French Open where he has lifted the title 14 times which is also a record
in the tournament’s history.
His last major tournament victory came
in 2022 while playing at the Roland Garros where he defeated Norway’s Casper
Ruud in the final with a score of 6-3, 6-3, 6-0.
