Musetti recently took part in the Indian Wells where he was
knocked out of the competition after losing in the round of 32 to Denmark’s Holger
Rune in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 7-6.
The result was another disappointing one for the Carrara-born
who has had a difficult beginning to the 2024 season. In the first Grand Slam
of the year — the Australian Open — he was knocked out after losing in the second
round to Luca Van Assche with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-7, 6-3, 6-0.
After that, the current world number 26 lost in the round of
16 of the Open 13, in the round of 32 in Rotterdam, in the first round of the
Qatar Open and the Dubai Duty-Free Championship.
