Lorenzo Musetti crashes out early in Bastad against Laslo Djere

Lorenzo Musetti does not like to play against Laslo Djere who proved quite strong once again taking down the Italian 6-3 7-5.

They have played a couple of times in the past but each time the Serbian proved better than the Italian. A win for Djere on the clay courts is nothing unusual as his game works really well on this surface. He likes it best and generally has the most confidence when he's on the red dirt. He proved so once again taking down another solid clay courter with his overall game.

It's been a good year for Djere overall who dominated on both his first and 2nd serve. Musetti wasn't so lucky as the Serbian was able to find solutions both from his backhand and forehand. It's not a great return to clay for Musetti who showed a lot of promise this year but a major breakthrough is still far away for the Italian. He needs to find consistency in his game because so far it's been lacking.

He'll have to try next week and the week because after that the tour shifts to hard courts and that's where he's even less effective at this stage of his career.
