The 2023
Laver Cup will be held in Vancouver and the captain for Team World and Team Europe will once again be
John McEnroe for the red team and Bjorn Borg for the Blue team.
Team World got their first Laver Cup win ever last year in London when they shocked a stacked Laver Cup Team that had the big four playing for them. Teams will be a bit different this year but it's still going to be a really strong event with some great players. Auger-Aliassime is already confirmed as a Canadian with the event taking place on Canadian soil.
The Captains will be the same with Borg and McEnroe returning once again. They were the captains in all editions of the event so far. Speaking for the Laver Cup McEnroe said:
"Felix was our MVP last year. He really turned the tide for us, big
time. It's a
no-brainer to have Felix on the team. I think he's going to win a major
in the next year—18 months at the most."
