Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev will clash in an exhibition match next year in Mexico City with the match taking place in March.
Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev know each other very well having played for Russia since being teenagers. The duo is currently leading Russia at the Davis Cup Finals hoping to lead their nation to success. The Russians have a very strong team and Medvedev and Rublev are their biggest weapons. The duo doesn't play often on the ATP tour but they will play in 2022 at least once.
When the tour shifts to North America for the Indian Wells and Miami Masters the pair will take out a day from their schedule to compete in an exhibition match that will take place in Mexico City. The match is scheduled to take place on March 21st which is the day after the Indian Wells final.
The match might get rescheduled if one of those players actually plays in the Indian Wells final which is always a possibility when you have two of the better players in the world. Both of them lastly competed at the ATP Finals but neither was able to win the event. Medvedev reached the final but lost to Zverev admitting to feeling a bit of fatigue.
