After Daniil Medvedev failed to win a single match at the 2019
ATP Finals, he came to London in 2020 with a big goal, to win his 1st match and maybe achieve even more.
And so far, the Russian is succeeding in doing so. After winning the 2020 Paris Masters, he faced his final opponent, Alexander Zverev also in the first match in London. Medvedev won in two sets but his second opponent looked even more difficult when he was supposed to face
Novak Djokovic who was dominant against Diego Schwartzman in his first match.
However, the Russian showed that he's not afraid of Djokovic as he managed to defeat him already twice last year. What was not expected by many was how dominant is the match going to be by Medvedev. He allowed Djokovic to have only 1 breakpoint during the match and triumphed 6-3, 6-3 to get 2nd victory in the group stage and book the semifinal spot at the 2020 ATP Finals.
