Zverev claims first win of 2020 ATP Finals against Schwartzman

Alexander Zverev is back on track in this year's ATP Finals with victory over Diego Schwartzman 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 to claim his first win in Group Tokyo in London.

Zverev, the 2018 champion landed 10 aces and saved six out of nine break points en route to victory. This came after he lost in straight sets to Daniil Medvedev on Monday and now his aim of making it three successive semi-finals in the tournament could occur.

It was a great start for the German as he claimed a 6-3, 3-1 lead but Schwartzman came back to force a deciding set.

But this proved a mere blip for Zverev who ended up claiming the final set with a fifth break to close out the match after going ahead at 2-2 while Schwartzman now goes onto 2-0 and faces Daniil Medvedev in his final group match on Friday.
