The ATP
Draw has been confirmed for the 2024
US Open which will take place between August 26 - September 8 in what is the yearly visit to Flushing Meadows.
Novak Djokovic defeated
Daniil Medvedev in the final 6-3, 7-6(2), 6-3 to seal the 2023 US Open. It was his fourth US Open title and record extending 24th men's singles major title overall.
He became the oldest US Open men's singles champion in the Open Era at 36 years and 111 days and was his last major triumph that he is defending with the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon going the way of Sinner and Alcaraz respectively. Both of whom will be protagonists again.
Alcaraz was the defending champion last year having won the title in 2022. But this time around he will look to add the crown back to his collection. He won the last two Grand Slams but was then defeated in the final of the Olympic Games crying after losing the gold medal to Djokovic.
He has since played in Cincinnati and threw his racquet in frustration during a match he termed the worst loss of his career against Gael Monfils. How will he bounce back.
The same can be said for Sinner who has had to deal with adversity of a different kind in recent days. From the euphoria of winning Cincinnati looking utterly superb amid injury concerns, he had the tennis jury after him.
This after he was found out to test positive twice for a banned substance during Indian Wells and he has since bore no fault or negligence but will be a major talking point on his route through. How will he cope with that.
Can Alexander Zverev and the supporting cast take advantage of this with other names such as Holger Rune showing glimmers of light as of late. As well as home heroes including Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and the resurgent Frances Tiafoe. What a tournament awaits and the draw is in full below.
