The Tokyo Olympic Games have been enduring hit after hit and the latest name to withdraw himself from the playing field is Milos Raonic. The Canadian has not played for a while now due to an injury and he will miss the Olympics as well. Raonic recently withdrew from Wimbledon due to the same injury.
He wrote:
"I didn’t want for it to get to this point, but I am sad to announce I will not be competing at the Olympics his summer. It is always the greatest honor to represent Canada on any world stage, and to miss that opportunity is not easy. I am still working hard to be ready to play as much tennis as I can this summer as I recover and begin to ramp up my training.
I wish all the amazing Canadian athletes all the best through the Olympics. I hope for this to be our most successful"
