Patrick Mouratoglou announced the new tennis competition where we will be able to see up to 50 live tennis matches.
Mouratoglou sees that fans really want to see tennis at these times but don't have it as both ATP and WTA Tour were suspended until 13th July 2020. Therefore, he has decided to come up with his own competition called the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS).
The first match should start already on 16th May 2020. David Goffin should meet the co-founder of the event, Alexei Popyrin. Mouratoglou spoke about launching the new league:
"The UTS is simply meant to be an alternative to what already exists. It is a platform created to showcase the incredible talent, athleticism and personalities of the wide range of tennis players, it offers a new and innovative approach. It targets a younger tennis audience and proposes a different way to distribute the money among the players," said Mouratoglou.
Co-founder, Alexei Popyrin also spoke about launching the new league. "There is no doubt that the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, with thrilling singles matches and millions of US dollars in prize money, has the potential to be the world's most exciting tennis competition. Fans watching at home will feel closer than ever before to the stars of world tennis through our engaging format."

- Having spent weeks and weeks through the years on tour, I can say with confidence that Conchita was (is) one of the very few who realize the surprising level of maturity (and sometimes lack of) which Mirra seems to have developed in such a demanding adult world of Pro-Tennis. While at the same time reminding herself (Conchita, that is) that Mirra is still young and developing mentally and physically. The general public may forget at times, or not at all realize, these modern era young athletes do not have a 'normal' Youth. It's a major sacrifice, among countless sacrifices, these athletes must make.
