Andy Murray is currently not playing any events but the Britis players is finding positives in that experience.
Andy Murray has not played a lot of competitive tennis since having hip surgery over three years ago. In fact, he only played 25 competitive matches since then but despite missing so much time he found positives in that. Speaking to ES Magazine he said:
“I got to see my kids growing up in the last couple of years and I’ve spent loads of time around them and got to build great relationships with them, which I wouldn’t have had the chance to do otherwise… In some ways, that’s been really the positive thing that’s come out of this.”
Lockdown was especially interesting for Murray as he had to find creative ways to entertain the kids and speaking about how he did that he said:
"I was building castles out of cardboard boxes, which the kids loved but they looked terrible.”
Murray also spoke about how working with a female coach helped him understand women in sports better. For Murray it was a positive experience who has since become a champion advocating for equality in sports. Asked about that:
“I just want everyone, so men and women, to be treated the same. I don’t think that’s radical; I just think it should be a human right.”
