Andy Murray was asked about the Novak Djokovic situation after the Serbian won in court over the decision to cancel his visa.
Murray was asked about it following his match against Durasovic in Sydney and the British player gave an honest response saying:
"It's positive that Djokovic isn't in detention anymore. He won in court, so that's a positive thing for him. It looks he is gonna be able to compete, hopefully, he will be able to concentrate on tennis. There are still few questions that need to answered".
Murray did not want to go too in-depth about the topic expressing frustration over the whole fallout. Murray explained that he, like everyone else, is here just to play tennis:
"I'm here to try and play and win tournaments. This is where situations like this are frustrating for us because I want to talk about my tennis and what's happening there, not talking about Djokovic situation. So I'm hoping that we can move on from it now".
Murray also talked about his own experience after returning from Abu Dhabi, where the majority of players that played there tested positive for the virus. Murray caught a cold upon return which was a bad experience he noted, but fortunately, it was not covid:
"I actually got really sick after Abu Dhabi, I didn't play or train for 10 days. It wasn’t covid related. I had a really bad cold, and my children had it and my wife and mother-in-law. Like, everyone in our house got it. Fortunately, it wasn’t covid”.
