World No.14
Felix Auger-Aliassime took some time out of his tennis schedule this week to visit the patients and staff at the Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal, as part of the hospital's fundraising "Voir Grand" campaign.
The Canadian has been a spokesperson for the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation since June. Auger-Aliassime revealed he was inspired to take on the role because he was born in the Sainte-Justine Hospital.
Auger-Aliassime hopes to bring smiles to faces during his visits
The hospital took to social media to share some photos of Auger-Aliassime's visit to their Cancer Center. During his visit, the former World No.6 stopped by to brighten the day of an 8-year old child dealing with cancer, giving him a huge autographed tennis ball.
"Philanthropy has always been a part of my life. My parents taught me early on the importance of giving back. Having been born at Sainte-Justine, I'm honored to return here today to meet families and hopefully, brighten their day a little," Auger-Aliassime said (via Foundation CHU Sainte-Justine Instagram.)
