Rafael Nadal and Roberto Bautista secured the second victory for Spain at the 2020 ATP Cup with their almost flawless performances.

It is a very big advantage to have world number 9 as your no.2 player. Roberto Bautista is the highest ranked no.2 player at the ATP Cup and Spain shows that they can use this advantage very well. First, Spain defeated Georgia without any major problems 3-0 and now hey faced Uruguay.
Bautista opened the day for Spain once again when he faced Franco Roncadelli. This time, the Spaniard lost only 3 games and defeated his opponent in less than an hour 6-1, 6-2.
Spain already got a 1-0 lead and the world number one was still just about to arrive on the court in Perth. Rafael Nadal faced Pablo Cuevas in a match between players number 1 in their country. Same as Bautista, Nadal lost only 3 games as he secured another victory for his country.
The Spanish team remains undefeated at the 2020 ATP Cup when they have won all 5 matches they played. Next, they will be playing doubles against Uruguay. However, Wednesday will be more important to them as they will be facing Japan in a tie for a first place in group.
Captain Francisco Roig shared his opinion about the ATP Cup as he said: "First of all, we are practically in a group on the court. It’s unusual because we sit there in the Team Zone and you talk with one player, then another gives their point of view. It’s not like in Davis Cup, where it’s only the captain giving advice. We are all much closer and more involved with the players here. It’s different because there is a lot more communication with the player’s coach, who sits by your side and talks directly with his player."
