Nadal, Murray, Osaka and Raducanu all begin season with new coaches

2022 will be a year of new coaches, at least that has been the case so far with several big names such as Nadal, Murray, Osaka, and Raducanu all entering the year with new teams.
Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Emma Raducanu, and Naomi Osaka will all play their 2022 seasons under the guidance of newly-appointed coaches. 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has added his friend Marc Lopez to his coaching team as he continues his push to finish his career as the most successful male player ever.
British three-time Slam winner Andy Murray decided to split with his long-term coach Jamie Delgado and has appointed German Jan De Witt. The German coach has previously trained the likes of former World number six Gael Monfils and Nikoloz Basilashvili.
After a lengthy recruitment process where she trialed Johanna Konta’s former coach Esteban Carrill, the 19-year-old British sensation decided to appoint Angelique Kerber’s former trainer Torben Beltz.
The Japanese star then decided to take a four-month-long hiatus following the US Open to prioritize her mental health. Osaka recently made her return at the Melbourne Summer Set ahead of the Australian Open and is hoping for a better year under the continued guidance of Fissette.

- I heartily disagree with Stubbs here. I mean c'mon! The whole idea of giving out wildcards is to give new & up-coming players a chance at getting as much circuit match-practice under their belts as possible. And this is a HUGE must and opportunity for these new kids on the block. Why curtail opportunities for these newbies in favour of stalwart monopoly?? That just isn't fair. At least give these lesser known players a chance to become more familiar at playing in bigger tournaments & give them also a chance of getting the crowds behind these underdogs.
