Being a successful athlete generally means you're going to earn well but how much depends on many factors. Most of the money that tennis players earn doesn't come from tennis and that's the case for Nadal. It's always been in endorsements and he's had quite a few over the years which helped him build a 314 million net worth.
The information was revealed by Spanish publication El Mundo who placed him only as the 196th richest person in the country. That's pretty good in a country of almost 50 million people and his net worth increased quite a bit in the past year. According to the same publication his net worth increased by 74 million in the past year alone.
