Following his amazing comeback victory to lift the
Australian Open title,
Rafael Nadal announced he would be competing at this year's
Laver Cup, where he hopes to reunite with long-time rival and friend
Roger Federer.
News of Nadal's participation at the Laver Cup broke a few days after his triumph at Melbourne park, and with Federer looking at a return this summer, fans are already eager to see the duo affectionately referred to as "Fedal" take to the courts as a doubles team again.
The Spaniard only seemed to whet the fans appetite for more, as he took to Twitter to ask his Swiss foe if a practice court had been booked in preparation for their reunion.
"Roger. You book the practice court? Or is it me?" wrote the 21-Grand Slam champion on Twitter. "Looking forward to playing again with you my friend!"
Federer and Nadal represented Team Europe at the inaugural edition of the Laver Cup in 2017, defeating Team World members Sam Querrey and Jack Sock in a highly-anticipated doubles match.
