Netflix Curse at French Open returns with Ruud and Fritz set for action on Tuesday as only players remaining

This year's Australian Open saw a popular meme emerge which blamed Netflix for the poor play of several players that crashed out early from the event and its return at Roland Garros with Casper Ruud and Taylor Fritz the only ones left standing.

Netflix came out with their tennis documentary Breaking Point this year with several players taking part in it. Players like Sakkari, Ruud, Badosa, Auger-Aliassime, Berrettini, Fritz and Kyrgios all took part in the show and they all had a very lacklustre showing at the Australian Open. The shocking losses prompted fans to attribute the losses to the Netflix show proclaiming it the 'Netflix curse'.

Netflix Curse visits Paris

It seems like it's back in Paris with pretty much the whole cast already out of the event. Kyrgios and Berrettini pulled out a long time ago due to injuries. Paula Badosa joined them on the day of the event with Maria Sakkari and Felix Auger-Aliassime losing in round one of the event. There are only two show members left standing Ruud and Fritz.

They will play on Wednesday so perhaps we see the curse totally clean out the draw but it's unlikely that both Fritz and Ruud lose in the first round. Ruud particularly as he's an excellent clay player who stood in the final last year. Don't miss it though, so stay with us for all the latest updates on this and many more things.
