Kei is planning to come back in June!
Great to see Kei Nishikori at Sarasota open, healthy, he said he's playing points and about two months away from returning to competing
Kei Nishikori is not done with tennis as the Japanese player plans to come back in June following several setbacks and injuries that left him unable to play for a long time.
The tale of his career are injuries, unfortunately. There were too many and for long periods of time leaving him unable to play the sport he loves. Rafael Nadal famously called Nishikori one of the best players in the world when healthy and it's hard to argue that because he was truly one of the best when he was able to compete regularly.
That's not been the case lately but apparently, he will come back in June according to a Nishikori fan on social media. The player is in Florida preparing for a return and working on the court but it will take a bit more time until he finally can compete again.
