After Dan Evans defeated Jay Clarke on the first day of the Battle of the Brits, Cameron Norrie faced Ryan Peniston, who replaced Jack Draper, in the second match of the Greg Rusedski group.
The 24-years-old player who is currently ranked outside of Top 300, started the match as he probably wished. Peniston converted his 2nd breakpoint in the first set to win it 6-3 and get the lead in the match.
However, 77th man in the ATP Ranking, Cameron Norrie, showed that he has much more experience than his opponent. Norrie was dominant in the second set; winning it 6-1 and match reached the third set which is decided by a super tie-break.
In the third set, it was Norrie who was a better player again. He defeated Peniston 3-6, 6-1, 10-4 and got the first point in the group stage. In the next match, he'll face Dan Evans as it will probably decide about the winner of the group.
