Kyle Edmund defeated Andy Murray after more than 2 hours in a top clash of the second day of the Battle of the Brits.

After Edmund and Murray got their first victory at the Battle of the Brits on Tuesday, they were set for Wednesday's clash for the possible winner of Tim Henman Group.
Andy Murray and Kyle Edmund are probably the best British tennis players of the past decade. 33-years-old Scot reached the first place of the ATP Ranking back in 2016. On the other hand, 8 years younger Edmund climbed to 14th place in 2018.
After 4 meetings on the ATP Tour, they met at the Battle of the Brits. Murray triumphed in the 3 of the 4 meetings but he was not a big favorite before the match as he was bothered by injuries in previous years.
In the first set, both players held their service games without any major difficulties. In the fifth game, Edmund had one breakpoint but didn't convert it what later resulted in a lost set. Murray showed his experience in the tie-break and won it 7-2.
We saw more action during the second set. After Edmund broke Murray's service in the 6th game, the Scot broke his opponent back in the next game. And after a 3-time Grand Slam champion didn't convert a breakpoint in the 11th game, also the second set reached tie-break. This time it was Edmund who managed to level the score and get the match to the third set decider.
At the Battle of the Brits, the third set is decided by a super tie-break. Edmund got 2 mini-breaks early during the super tie-break and soon got an 8-3 lead. There were no more mini-breaks in the super tie-break as Edmund has won it 10-5 to win the match 6-7(2), 7-6(5), 10-5.
