World No.1
Novak Djokovic is not slowing down in his assault on the ATP record books, as the Serbian looks primed to shatter another record held by arch-rival,
Roger Federer.
With the
ATP Finals only a few days away, Djokovic will be making his 16th appearance at the elite event. The 36-year old will be hoping to win a 7th title at the year-ending event, and kicks off his campaign against Danish youngster Holger Rune.
Federer tops list of most appearances at ATP Finals, Djokovic one step away
Djokovic has shown little sign of slowing down, having captured three of the four Grand Slam titles this year. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has had a stranglehold on the World No.1 ranking, which has seen him qualify for his 16th ATP Finals appearance.
Federer leads all players with 17 appearances at the prestigious event, with no player coming close to as many showings since the event's conception in 1970. However, with Djokovic showing no signs of slowing down, one would not be surprised if the Serbian catches up with and eventually overtakes the Swiss Maestro's record over the next few years.
