Novak Djokovic had some minor issues against
Grigor Dimitrov but he was able to rise to the occasion in the end securing a win after three sets 6-3 4-6 6-1.
It was a super interesting match and another proof that Djokovic is not really playing at his best. It's only natural, he hasn't played in a while so it will take him some time to get going. Still, he was able to produce the best level he needed and ultimately won the match in two sets. The first few games saw a couple of breaks and at the end of it was Djokovic with a 3-1 lead.
He held it for the rest of the set finishing things 6-3 behind 8 winners. Dimitrov matched him in winners but had a couple of more errors in that set. The second one was a curious one as Djokovic opened with an early lead but gave it back midway through. Not only that, but Dimitrov completely turned around the match taking the set 6-4 after winning four games in a row.
It was just a set where Dimitrov risked a bit more and it paid off as had more winners this time around. That approach didn't work in the final set as Djokovic got serious and as soon as he did, it was game over, literally. The final set ended 6-1 as Dimitrov kind of gave up toward the end of the match.
