Martina Navratilova has been outspoken about being against allowing transwomen to compete with cis women in sports and she once again engaged in the topic.
Navratilova has been quite outspoken about her belief that trans women have a competitive advantage over cis women by virtue of having been born into a biologically male body before transitioning. There is enough scientific data to back up her claims and she's not the only woman speaking out against this polarizing topic.
She's also garnered a lot of criticism for her outspoken views on the topic though she doesn't care much for it. In a recent post on social media, she expressed anger over an article that called women's swimming transphobic after many complained of a recent instance where a trans woman won a competition comfortably ahead of the opposition.
Navratilova wrote on twitter:
"Can’t believe the Nation actually gave the platform for this this kind of piece. Seriously. #misogyny in pure form… seems nobody in that piece gives a crap about females at all. #sciencenotidentity."
