Gauff continues to struggle, out against Bouzkova in Rome

Coco Gauff played in the Roland Garros final last year but this year she's been awful on clay losing yet again to Marie Bouzkova at the Rome Open.

Gauff is not playing good tennis right now and a lot of might be attributed to a lack of confidence. Some of her matches start well and then things start going badly and she completely folds. It's happened more than once this year and there are too many confused looks from the American while on the court.

The forehand is a glaring issue as well as it basically doesn't create any kind of pressure and even the backhand isn't there at times. This was a match where she was able to take the first set 6-4 but then completely fell apart. She lost the second set 2-6 and didn't improve much in the final one as well.

Bouzkova simply returned as many balls as possible waiting for the mistake and even attacked in the final set after sensing a lot of doubt from Gauff. Just a very poor performance in a long list of poor performances from Gauff this year. Not as good as she played on the surface last year.
