Novak Djokovic continues to break records and has added another one to his collection prior to his latest week as World No.1 usurping Roger Federer in the process.
Djokovic is now the oldest player to be ranked World No.1 in ATP Ranking history. At the age of 36 years and 321 days old, he surpasses 36 years and 320 days from Federer when he spent his last day as World No.1 on June 24th, 2018.
He also is part already of an exclusive club of players in their 30's to be World No.1 with the prior duo as well as Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, John Newcombe, Jimmy Connors, Ivan Lendl and Andy Murray.
Not only is the record there for ATP though, it goes across both men's and women's with Serena Williams last day being over a year prior at 35 years and 230 days back in May 15th 2017 meaning that Djokovic is the undisputed leader when it comes to age and also some would say longevity given his reign stretches double the amount of the player in second place all time.
His record will be extended for at least a few more weeks until earliest Madrid with Jannik Sinner the next to hunt him down for the top spot. But the oldest record is another one unlikely to be beaten.
