Novak Djokovic's dominance at Rome Open as perfect Roland Garros pre-cursor with mind-blowing statistics confirmed

World No.1 Novak Djokovic may have lessened his workload prior to Roland Garros this season. However, the Serbian tennis superstar has a history of performing well at the clay-court Grand Slam event, provided he competes at the preceding Rome Open.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has played at only a handful of events in 2024, with his most recent being at the Monte-Carlo Masters in April. Opting to skip Madrid, Djokovic is set to return at next week's Rome Open, a tournament where he has been very succesful.

Djokovic has amassed an astounding 67-11 match record at the ATP Masters 100 event since 2008. The World No.1 has won six titles in Rome, capturing the prestigious trophy for the first time in 2008. With his last title at the event coming in 2022, the 36-year old has made the final at eight of the last ten editions. Although he fell in the quarterfinal stage last year, Djokovic is likely refreshed after playing in only three events this year. A favorable result would be a huge momentum boost for the Serbian, as he prepares to defend his Roland Garros title in a few weeks.
