"Novak will be greatest athlete of all time" claims father Srdjan Djokovic

Novak Djokovic is an all-time great tennis player, possibly the greatest to ever play the game who still has a lot to give to the game of tennis. Djokovic is far from ending his career and the Serbian is still writing new chapters in his story, one that is already beyond legendary.

His father Srdjan Djokovic is one of his biggest fans and regularly praises his son for his achievements. He is also prone to the occasional bombastic statement and one such came recently. Speaking about his son and his achievements he said:

"Novak will soon become the greatest athlete of all time. He was sent by God in the darkest time for Serbian people. Everyone should strive to be Novak in everything they do."

While Djokovic has a strong case for being the best tennis player of all time it's hard to argue that when compared to all other sports. As physically demanding tennis is on the body other sports employ far more athleticism than tennis which makes this claim kind of moot. Even so, Djokovic will have a chance to make history at the US Open for which he is preparing back home in Marbella.
