Carlos Alcaraz has failed to win a title since Wimbledon which has paid to the notion of a post Wimbledon slump for the former World No.1.
But during his time at the Netflix Slam, Alcaraz dispelled this notion saying that the perception that not winning titles is bad shouldn’t be there. He came close in particular in Cincinnati where he threw away the final against Novak Djokovic.
Since then he went on a tour in the back end of the year to try and seal the World No.1 ranking. But he didn’t succeed in his mission. He also had a poor recent South American swing where he failed to win a title.
"The American tour I did after Wimbledon wasn't bad at all. What happens is that people think that if you don't win titles it's bad and it's not like that,” said Alcaraz.
“I made a few quarterfinals of a Masters 1000, the final in Cincinnati with Djokovic and US Open semifinals. I don't see failure and frustration in what happened after Wimbledon. I have to learn from those experiences and of those moments."
