Raducanu 'on the mend' after late frustrating withdrawal from ATX Open Austin due to tonsillitis

Emma Raducanu was forced to abandon plans of playing in Austin due to tonsilities however she's already getting better hoping to be quickly back on the court.

Raducanu was slated to play in Austin which would have been the first event since the Australian Open, Her first major was derailed by a rolled ankle that allowed her to participate but it was pretty clear that she probably wasn't 100 %. Fully healthy Raducanu hoped for a good return in Austin but then tonsillitis happened.

She posted an Instagram story reflected on her withdrawal:

"Sad to be missing Austin but on the mend."

Her initial withdrawl said this:

"I'm sorry to have to withdraw from the ATX Open. I am currently suffering from tonsillitis and am unable to compete this week. Thank you to the tournament for the great hospitality here in Austin."

Fans will be happy to hear she's getting better because a big double is coming up with Indian Wells and Miami.
