"I couldn't find the rhythm": Swiatek surprised after Dubai final defeat to Krejcikova, vows to analyse shock loss in detail

Iga Swiatek was surprised by the lack of rhytm she had in the final against Babore Krejcikova who won far easier than anybody anticipated.

Krejcikova won in two straight sets 6-4 6-2 and it was even easier than last year's triumph over Swiatek. Their two most recent clashes came in finals and Krejcikova won both times. It's not something many players can say and Swiatek was certainly surprised by her display in the final. She did credit Krejcikova on winning:

"I couldn't find the rhythm, it was a lot different than the last couple of rounds. I don't know if that's my fault or Barbora made that situation, but for sure she used it and played pretty smart. So congrats to her for winning the title."

She explained that she needs to analyze what she did wrong in order to better understand the defeat:

"From my side, I still need to analyze what I've done wrong, because it surprises me that there's such a difference in the feeling you get on court over a day, you know. So for sure I'm going to focus on that and look at it from a different perspective to understand it more. Right now, it's hard for me to say what made the difference."
