Rolex has announced Rafael Jódar as its latest tennis ambassador, adding the rising Spanish star to a prestigious roster that includes Roger Federer, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The 20-year-old, currently ranked world No. 13, is enjoying a breakthrough season on the ATP Tour and will make his Shanghai Masters debut against Argentina's Thiago Agustín Tirante.
The partnership marks another significant milestone in Jódar's rapid progress. His performances throughout 2026 have established him among the leading young players in men's tennis, attracting attention not only for his results but also for his growing profile beyond the court.
Jódar confirmed his excitement about the announcement on Instagram, expressing his appreciation for joining a brand whose history is closely connected to some of the sport's greatest champions. Former world No. 1 and fellow Spaniard Garbiñe Muguruza also welcomed him to the Rolex family.

Jódar joins a prestigious family of tennis ambassadors

Rolex has maintained a strong presence in tennis for decades, serving as the official timekeeper of the Grand Slam tournaments and partnering with the ATP and WTA Tours. Its ambassador roster includes some of the biggest names in the sport, with Federer among its most recognisable representatives after a long association with the brand.
The Swiss watchmaker also works with current champions such as Alcaraz and Sinner, alongside leading women's players including Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva. Jódar's addition places him among an exclusive group of players whose achievements and public profiles align with the brand's association with excellence and longevity.
The Spaniard made his appreciation for the partnership clear in his announcement. “I am truly honoured to be part of the Rolex family. It is very special for me to share this journey with a name that carries such a unique legacy, built alongside generations of legends.”
Muguruza, who has also represented Rolex, responded to the announcement with a warm welcome: “Bienvenido a la #RolexFamily,” accompanied by celebratory emojis.

A new milestone during Jódar's rise

At world No. 13, Jódar has already established himself as one of the most exciting young players on the ATP Tour. His rise during the 2026 season has brought greater attention to his performances, with his ranking placing him among the sport's leading names rather than simply its emerging prospects.
His next challenge comes at the Shanghai Masters, where he is scheduled to face Tirante in the second round. The match will offer another opportunity to build on his progress during a season in which expectations around him have continued to grow.
Joining Rolex represents recognition beyond his results on court, connecting Jódar with a brand that has long been associated with the biggest stages in tennis. For a player still at the beginning of his professional career, the partnership is another indication of how quickly his profile has expanded.
From rising ATP talent to world No. 13 and now a Rolex ambassador, Jódar has added another important milestone to an already memorable season.
