Rafael Nadal's return to the ATP circuit after his injury in Brisbane in January, just before the Australian Open, has been confirmed. The Spaniard, at the press conference prior to the
Barcelona Open, announced that he will finally make his official return to a clay court tournament, which has given him so much joy throughout his career.
Nadal skipped the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 in order to continue recovering and aiming for the Barcelona Open, although he also admitted that the decision to play the tournament was a last-minute one: "I came here as a last-minute decision, because I didn't really know if I was going to play. Tomorrow I'll be on court". Nadal will make his debut against Flavio Cobolli at the Conde de Godo on Tuesday, April 16 at 4:00 pm.
