Rafael Nadal is 100% ahead of comeback asserts compatriot Carlos Alcaraz

Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz believes legendary compatriot Rafael Nadal is ready to take the ATP tour by storm during his comeback in the 2024 season.

Nadal suffered a hip injury at the 2023 Australian Open, which subsequently led to him undergoing surgery and being sidelined for the rest of the year. However, the 22-time Grand Slam champion announced he would return in 2024, with the Brisbane International being his first stop.

During a recent interview at his exhibition match in Riyadh, Alcaraz revealed he had seen the former World No.1 training ahead of his comeback in Brisbane. Furthermore, the 20-year old stated he had received encouraging news from people other players who had practiced with Nadal.

"I saw some videos of him practicing, he's 100%," said Alcaraz. "I hear from other players that they practiced with Rafa in these past weeks and they said that he's going to return to his good level. His top level, I think he's ready for great things this year as well."
