Rafael Nadal confirmed after
Roland Garros that he won't play
Wimbledon under injections as he did Roland Garros.
He instead opted for a novel procedure that has shown promise albeit it was never used for what he has. He underwent the procedure in Barcelona and flew back to Mallorca to recover at home. Nadal was spotted at the airport walking with crutches only days after winning the Roland Garros trophy. A spokesperson confirmed he's back home:
“Rafa is already at home and will spend three or four days doing normal, maintaining physical activity. Depending on the effect of the treatment, and as long as it’s positive, he will later return to training on the court. We don’t rule out a second treatment being carried out in the next week.”
