Nick Kyrgios is not your typical tennis player as the Australian has always been opinionated as well as outspoken.
There are not many topics Kyrgios is not willing to discuss and the Australian has been open about his own struggles in many aspects of his own life. That made him a polarizing person in the sport of tennis, a sport that does not exactly reward outspoken persons. It also got him a lot of fans and a lot of haters who often criticize his every move pointing out his underwhelming career compared to what his potential was.
Recently, tennis has not been the focus of his life and the Australian found himself helping others. He extended the invitation for help to anybody who needs it writing on Instagram:
"Nothing makes me happier when I’m able to give people around me
confidence and help them through challenges. With tennis or with life. I’ve really been trying
to give back, trying to guide and help people through personal or
career challenges. We are all human!! We are all equal. Keep your head
up, we are all going through our own problems, we need to HELP one
another."
He continued with:
"Stop comparing and feeling like you aren’t enough…. If you need guidance, REACH out to me!"
His ranking dropped off and in order to avoid playing qualifiers, he was awarded a wild card event which he was grateful for. On that he said:
"Tennis Australia has done a great job getting things together and
giving us more options to play at home before the
Australian Open. Giving me a wildcard is awesome — I’ll do my best to put on a show for
the fans."
