Following numerous setbacks with injuries,
Andy Murray tries his best to extend his career, play on a competitive level and chase the rivals from the top.
Andy won his first match since the last year's US Open in Rotterdam, beating Robin Haase in three sets before losing to Andrey Rublev. Speaking about
Roger Federer after the encounter, Andy said that Roger certainly works hard and that he can play on a high level again and chase big titles. Praising Roger's skills, Andy is confident that he can challenge the world's best players despite his career's most extended break.
Roger hasn't played for 14 months, struggling with a knee injury and undergoing two surgeries in February and May last year. The Swiss star will return to action at the next week's ATP 250 event in Doha, playing for the first time since the previous year's Australian Open.
"I want to get out and compete and enjoy doing what I am doing. I imagine it's the same thing with Roger Federer. I am sure he has been training hard and is excited to get back out there and compete. If his body endures the efforts, he can play top-level tennis again; he is that good.
Even if there is a slight drop-off physically for him, I would back his skills against most players. I am sure he will be fine," Andy Murray said.
