Fabio Fognini and
Roger Federer have one thing in common when we speak about the previous season, with both undergoing surgeries and hoping for a fresh start in 2021.
Speaking about Roger, Fabio said he would love to see the Swiss making a boom again this year, praising his game and calling him the personification of the game itself. The 39-year-old Swiss hasn't played since the last year's Australian Open, undergoing two knee surgeries in February and May and skipping the rest of the year.
Roger moved to Dubai with his coach Ivan Ljubicic in December but couldn't get back at 100% by the upcoming Australian Open, skipping the season's first Major and planning to return in March, probably in Doha and Dubai.
With the Olympic Games in Tokyo hardly taking place this year, Roger will focus on Wimbledon and the US Open, still eager to challenge the rivals from the top despite the most extended break of his career and the fact he turns 40 in August.
"I would like to see Roger Federer making a boom again in 2021. I'm his huge fan and enjoy watching him play. Sorry for telling you this, guys, but Roger Federer is tennis," Fabio Fognini said.
