Roger Federer has a few events he considers very special with Halle being one of them and the Swiss ace should be back in 2022 as well.
The Swiss Ace played many times in Halle ultimately setting the record for most wins at the event at 10. The final win came in 2019 when he played one of his best seasons in the past decade. Last year, Federer was also present at the event but he went out to Felix Auger-Aliassime in a match where the Swiss did not play his best.
He will have a chance to do better next year as the event confirmed that Federer is one of the players that has already committed to coming to the event next year. It's hardly a surprise because Federer has a longstanding history with the event and his affinity to prepare there for Wimbledon is rather known. It worked out for him in the past as he lifted the trophy 10 times in Hallep and many times in Wimbledon as well.
Besides Federer, we will also see several other notable players. Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev are also players that have committed themselves to Halle next year and both of them played this year as well. Other plays that will travel to the German city will be Kei Nishikori and Karen Khachanov. So there you have it. The 2022 NOVENTI OPEN in Halle will be a good one.
