Roger Federer is confirmed for ATP500 Swiss Indoors in Basel. He will play his opening match on Tuesday, October 25. After getting through the first round, his next match will be on Thursday, October 27.
Roger Federer excited fans a couple of months ago when he confirmed he would play at the 2022 Laver Cup but he will also play in Basel as well.
The information came out today with reports from his native Switzerland indicating that Federer signed up for the event which he won 10 times before. Federer rarely mossed the Basel event as it's a popular tennis event in his hometown. The last of his 103 titles also came in Basel and he might want to add another one.
The Swiss ace was always targeting a return in the 2nd half of 2022 and now he's confirmed for two different events, the Laver Cup in September and Swiss Indoors in the final week of October. His first match at the event will happen on October 25th.
