Roland Garros 2020 Sunday Schedule of Play - Nadal, Zverev, Thiem and Halep all stepping onto the red clay of Paris

This Sunday kicks off the 2nd week of Roland Garros officially and it starts off with a bang as Nadal, Zverev, Thiem and Halep will all be on the red clay of Paris.

The Sunday schedule of play at Roland Garros brings us 8 spectacular matches spread out throughout the day with many of the ATP's and WTA's superstars playing. The ATP part of the day kicks off at 11:00 CET with a banger between Rafael Nadal and Sebastian Korda. The American surprised many with not just his clay play but his general form. He will be a challenge for the Spaniard who isn't familiar with him but surprising Nadal is hard no matter how unknown you are.

The next match won't bring a drop off in quality as Zverev will Sinner. Both players spoke about the match saying they couldn't wait as we, the fans, are no different. After them, we will see Diego Schwartzman take on Lorenzo Sonego in a match that should be filled with long rallies as both players are hard to beat from the baseline. The ATP program will be closed by Thiem and Gaston. The native will hope for the crowd's support in a tough match where he hopes to continue the magical run that saw him already defeat Wawrinka.

The WTA schedule will kick off at 11:00 CET just as the ATP one and with a banger of its own. Simona Halep will take on the breakout player Iga Swiatek in a clash of past and future. The polish youngster is certainly a name to remember and perhaps she will announce herself to the world tomorrow. After them, we will see Trevisan against Bertens in a match that not a lot expected to see but both of them deserved to be here.

The 3rd match will be between Krejcikova and Podoroska. Once again names that we are not accustomed seeing so deep in a grand slam but here they are. After they finish the match we will see another banger between Svitolina and Garcia. Garcia will rely on the crow's support while Svitolina hopes to go deep and maybe win a grand slam. We will see what happens.
