Andrey Rublev and Nino Serdarusic are the next two winners of the second leg of the Adria Tour in Zadar as Grigor Dimitrov pulled out of the tournament.
After
Novak Djokovic defeated Pedja Krstin in his first match in Zadar,
Andrey Rublev faced Marin Cilic in front of the Croatian crowd at
Adria Tour. Soon after that, Grigor Dimitrov withdrew from the tournament and was replaced by Nino Serdarusic.
Andrey Rublev and Marin Cilic showed probably the best match the Adria Tour has seen so far. The match saw both players dominating for some time but the winner could be only one. After not converting 2 breakpoints in the first set, Rublev has won it 7-5 in the tie-break.
Supported by the home crowd, Cilic managed to come back in the second set when he has won it 4-2 and got a break in the first game of the third set. But since that moment, the Russian didn't allow Cilic to do much with the match and triumphed 4-3(5), 2-4, 4-1.
After this great spectacle, fans in Zadar saw the only match of players ranked outside of Top 200 of the tournament. Nino Serdarusic faced Pedja Krstin but match had everything it should have.
Both players showed a high-quality play and the match reached two tie-breaks. Serdarusic was the more successful player when he triumphed 4-3(5), 4-3(1) to get the first point in the group.
