Rune doesn't see pressure of being top seed after Montpellier loss: "I don’t walk on court like I am the number one of the tournament, I don’t think about it"

Holger Rune was the top seed in Montpellier but it's not something he thinks a lot about nor is it something that he cares for, the loss in the semi-final is more important.

Rune is incredibly dedicated to tennis. So much so, that Stefanos Tsitsipas was stunned by how obsessed the Danish player in with the sport. He got the chance to headline an event for the first time as he was the top seed in Montpellier but he didn't end up winning. Maxime Cressy stopped him in the semi-final. His main issue was the return:

"It was a close match but I didn’t return well against him today. And if you’re not returning well against a player like him, it’s complicated."

He was asked how it was to be the top seed and Rune admitted it's not something he thinks about. For him it's about getting out there and trying to win the match:

"I don’t walk on court like I am the number one of the tournament, I don’t think about it."
